This recording is really beautiful-the writing and the playing. And the recorded sound...gorgeous.

The Natural Order of Things (2019)

Ted Moore's compositions and arrangements for this recording reflect composing over many years. It is a reflection of a wealth of experiences all intersecting to create a diverse but cohesive body of work; from Amorzinha written while living in Rio, to El Prado written after a visit to this extraordinary museum in Madrid, to Simple Gifts based on the same theme used by Aaron Copland in "Appalachian Spring". It also pays tribute to those who have come before us from the obvious nod of Waltz for Chick to the mesmerizing homage of Beyond Silence.

The entire process of creating this recording was a joy throughout. My gratitude to two extraordinary friends and musicians who brought their talent and generosity to this project, Phil Markowitz and Kai Eckhardt. One final element that must be mentioned is the privilege of working at Skywalker Sound along with "an engineer who hears all", Leslie Ann Jones. Many thanks to everyone.
